In honor of Black History Month the Brockton Historical Society in partnership with the Greater Brockton Chapter of the NAACP will host "The Black Brocktonians". This tribute to African American history will be held Saturday February 27, 2010 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Brockton Public Library, Lingos Room.

This program will feature an oral and pictorial history of many prominent African Americans from the greater Brockton Area by Co-Curator Willie A. Wilson, Jr. light refreshments will be served. Proceeds from this event will be used to continue the ongoing mission of the Brockton Historical Society. The event is open to the public. Tickets may be purchased at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
