Massachusetts is the only state in the country to offer a program of services to its veterans. Each city and town in the Commonwealth is represented by a Veterans’ Agent.
The primary mission and responsibility of the local veterans’ agent is to advise and assist veterans and their dependents in applying for and securing federal and/or state benefits for which they are eligible. Inquiries pertaining to eligibility should be directed to the office of Veterans’ Services. Inquiries are encouraged by either telephone or email. Appointments are available, preferably, on a call-first basis. All personal information is confidential and treated accordingly.
