A city-owned and completely remediated brownfield site, the Ralsco Sub-District has no activity use limitations. A city-owned vacant lot, the sub-district is bordered on the south and west sides by the Salisbury River, marking it one of the longest stretches of riverfront in downtown.
The sub-district is adjacent to a commercial use property at the corner of Warren Avenue and Bartlett Street, and is surrounded on all sides by primarily residential – typically two to three-story single-family and two-to-three-family homes. Smart Growth zoning allows this pattern of development to extend to the Ralsco site.
