The Brockton Area Medical Reserve Corps. is a group of trained volunteers that work to make the community a safer place in the event of an emergency or disaster.
A partnership between the Brockton Board of Health and the Massasoit Community College Division of Nursing & Allied Health, the BMRC began in 2006. Membership was later expanded to include the Board of Health in the neighboring communities of Abington and Rockland.
Whether your have medical skills or just want to contribute to the health and safety of your community, BMRC needs you.
There are opportunities for health professionals such as: doctors, nurses, EMTs, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, mental health counselors, physician assistants, allied health professionals, pharmacy technicians, psychologists, licensed social workers, and more. The BMRC also has opportunities for non-medical professionals to volunteer as: greeters, educators, IT specialists, transportation drivers, child care, clergy, food prep, interpreters, escorts, maintenance/custodial, data entry, public safety, and more.
