The Water/Sewer Division is responsible for maintaining the city’s 300 miles of water and sewer lines, for distributing clean drinking water to residents and businesses, and for managing the sanitary disposal of wastewater to protect the public health and safety.
Please see our list of FAQs for questions about how to arrange for water to be turned on and off at your property, meter reading, and billing. For water permit information, please visit our Documents, Forms, and Permits page. Please note that a water permit is only necessary if the water at the property has been off for more than a year. If the water has been off less than a year, please submit a dated letter requesting renewal of water service to the Water Department at 39 Montauk Rd. There is a $40 fee to turn on the water regardless of how long it has been off.
The City of Brockton now offers the option to pay your utility bill online. Click the Pay My Utility Bill link and follow the prompts.
