Seniors
The senior population of Brockton continues to grow, almost as quickly as the contribution
of our seniors to the City. Brockton's seniors are involved in every aspect of what
makes the city great. From childcare to business development, to the arts and culture
of the city, we all benefit from them.
Brockton offers a great place for seniors to live. The
Council on Aging is a great resource for seniors
who would like to know more and get involved. The
library system has large collections of books,
media, high speed Internet access, and classes. Our public transportation, whether
BAT or MBTA
help seniors travel within the city and beyond. Groups like SCORE give seniors a place
to keep a hand in business by giving sage advise to entrepreneurs. And since Brockton
is an affordable place to live, work and retire, we look forward to having our senior
population to continue to grow.
